TCAN1043G-Q1: unexpected INH behavior

Part Number: TCAN1043G-Q1

Hi team,

Is there any requirement for the VCC and VIO power up sequence?

Customer find 1043 exist sleep mode unexpectedly (INH from floating to High)  when the VCC and VIO is powered, there is no change in NSTB/EN/WAKE.

Thanks.

  • Dongbao,

There is a tUV timer in the datasheet that if expired, will put the device into sleep mode. This timer is a minimum 159 ms and a maximum of 340 ms, so if VSUP is up for an extended period of time before VIO and VCC come up, then yes, the device will go into sleep mode.

Can you get oscilloscope shots of the VSUP, VCC, and VIO power rails ramping? Or if you can find out how long that time between VSUP crossing the UVSUP threshold and VIO and VCC coming up is, we can verify that the tUV timer is expiring.

    Regards,

  • HI Eric,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Unstable STB waveform is found as the root cause of unexpected INH behavior.
