TUSB2046B: DP and DM signal status during overcurrent status

Part Number: TUSB2046B

Hi,

I have a short question about the TUSB2046B usb hub. We're experiencing some stability issues with the usb ports as often devices that are connected to the ports are not seen by the CPU,

I cannot find this information in the datasheet of the TUSB2046B chip but during overcurrent state, what happens with DP and DM signals ? Are they still being sent or is the data line cut off and no signals are being transmitted ?

Also if someone has any advice about solving stability issues I would appreciate every bit of it.

Thank you in advance for answer and explanation,

Kind Regards,

  • Hi,

Under what condition are you seeing the connection issues? What kind of devices are you connecting? During a over-current event TUSB2046B will only report the event to the USB Host. What the host tells TUSB2046B to do, whether that be disconnect or nothing, is up to the host software/USB drivers. How do you have your OVRCURz pins connected?
