TPS65987D: could you please help provide any suggestions when powering up TPS65987D at the beginning?

Customer is using TPS65987 in their notebook. They just started the test in their board, and found it could not work, with 20V supply. Is there any firmware inside the chip originally? Could you please help suggest how to check the possible reasons? Thank you.

    Hi, 

    When you say its not working at 20V, do you mean its failing PD contract? Yes, controller can boot from internal ROM depending on boot strap pin configuration. 

    Please check boot mode pins in your design, table "Table 5. Boot Mode Pin Strapping" in datasheet. Does it work in dead battery mode? 

    Please share your schematic if possible.
