TMDS442: TMDS442 Question

Part Number: TMDS442

Hello team,

Would you please advise about TMDS442 schematics design as below?

Q1)  Can we set to floating at Local I2C (LC_SCL,LC_SDA, LC_A0, and LC_A1) when we do not use Local I2C?

Q2) Can we set to floating at DDC pins(SCLx, SDAx, SCL_SINKx and SDA_SINKx) which  we do not use?

Q3) Can we set to floating at TMDS source channels  which  we do not use?

Q4) Can we set to floating at 5V_PWRx  because there are pull-up resisters?

Q5) Does Bulk Capacitor such as 1uFor 2.2uF is needed except for 0.01uF  at power line ?

Q6) We use 4.64kohms  between VSADJ pin and GND. Is it correct or not?

Q7) Can we connect Thermal Pad to GND?

Your advice would be so appreciated.

Q1)  Can we set to floating at Local I2C (LC_SCL,LC_SDA, LC_A0, and LC_A1) when we do not use Local I2C?

LC_SCL and LC_SDA can be pulled up through 10k resistors

LC_A0 and LC_A1 can be pulled to ground through 10k resistors

Q2) Can we set to floating at DDC pins(SCLx, SDAx, SCL_SINKx and SDA_SINKx) which  we do not use?

Please pull them to ground through 10k resistors.

Q3) Can we set to floating at TMDS source channels  which  we do not use?

An unused input channel can be externally biased to prevent output oscillation. The complementary input pin is recommended to be grounded through a 1-kΩ resistor and the other pin left open.

Q4) Can we set to floating at 5V_PWRx  because there are pull-up resisters?

Please make sure 5V_PWRx are being pulled high.

Q5) Does Bulk Capacitor such as 1uFor 2.2uF is needed except for 0.01uF  at power line ?

For power line, please have one 10uF and then 0.1uF for each power pine.

Q6) We use 4.64kohms  between VSADJ pin and GND. Is it correct or not?

Yes, minimum value is 4.6ohm and maximum value is 4.68ohm.

Q7) Can we connect Thermal Pad to GND?

Yes, please connect thermal pad to GND

    Thanks
