Hello team,

Connecting TUSB1046A EVM and TUSB1064 EVM, the 1 port USB3.1 + 2 lane DP doesn’t work correctly.

Do we need some configuration other than CTL0,1 and FLIP?

1 port USB3.1 configuration was confirmed working and 4 lane DP configuration also worked well.

Both EVMs used external power supply, so there is no power supply problem.

Could you give me a suggestion?

Hi KM,

The CTL1, CTL0, FLIP pins should be High, High and Low respectively. Can you describe your test setup? Can you see Vbus high on both EVMs, at both USB connectors? Is both USB and DP non-functional?

Hi,

TUSB1046A EVM:

CTL1：High

CTL0：High

FLIP：Low

TUSB1064 EVM:

CTL1：High

CTL0：High

FLIP：Low

Can you see Vbus high on both EVMs, at both USB connectors?

External power supply (5V/1A) has been used both on TUSB1046AEVM and TUSB1064EVM.

Is both USB and DP non-functional?

Both USB and DP don’t work.

Could please give your advice?

Now we don't have a tool of I2C connection, will try to get.

What will we write to register?

Hi KM,

Please try to write register 0x0a as 0x03 on both devices. this will set both device in multi-function mode.

Do you have a recommended tool of I2C programing for the EVM and document of how to program?

EVM's slave address is fixed 0x12?

Hi KM,

I would recommend using a TotalPhase Aardvark but and I2C master can be used as long as the I2C slave address is set to where the I2C master is trying to communicate. We do not have specific document for a specific I2C master since any I2C master could be used but Programming section should help guide you. I2C address can vary depending on pin configuration at reset. Please refer to the I2C target address table in the datasheet to see all possible combinations. The EVM slave address can be changed.
