DS90UB935-Q1: DS90UB935-Q1

Part Number: DS90UB935-Q1

Hi,

Can I use 935/936 to transmit 2 lane 1.2Gbps MIPI signal?

The DS90UB935 datasheet shows that the max mipi data rate is 832Mbps, but the DS90UB936 show that is 1664Mbps.

So which chip's mipi rate should I refer to,the Serializer or the Deserializer?

  • Hello,

the Serializer CSI-2 data rate refers to the incoming data from the Image sensor into the SER.

The Deserializer CSI-2 data rate refers to the outgoing data from the DES to the SoC.

And they are completely independent fro each other!

    did that answer your question?

  • Hi User5831346,

    Please check below two points:

    1. UB935's CSI2 rate can be different with UB936's CSI2 rate setting, but the bandwidth of UB935's CSI2 port should be less than UB936's CSI2 port.

    2. For UB935, the maximum CSI2 lane rate is 832M, you can set totally 4lanes.

    3. For UB936, the CSI2 data rate is listed in d/s page44, it can't support 1.2Gbps as d/s mentioned.
