Does TI have any information about the impact of POC circuit on eye image quality?

    Hi Amy,

    We don't have reports on PoC circuit vs. eye diagram.

    However, we have PoC noise requirement of <= 25mVpp. If noise is too much, then the high speed signal may degrade.

    For PoC routing, we recommend placing the smallest component, typically a ferrite bead or a chip inductor, as close to the connector as possible. Route the high-speed trace through one of its pads to avoid stubs. Add anti-pads below the component pads to minimize impedance drop.
