DS90UB960-Q1: How to sync two deserializers?

Hi Team,

I am using 2x DS90UB960s to support eight camera channels.

If we want all of the image data arrive to the image signal processor (ISP) at the same time, the frame synchronization signal might be necessary. Do you have any suggestion about the multiple deserializer sync generation?

We're thinking we could use a SoC GPIO to drive both of DS90UB960 simultaneously to achieve two derserializer data synchronization. Would this work or is there a different way this is typically done?

Hi David,

Yes, you can. but please be careful the 1:2 driving from SoC to 2 GPIOs from 2pcs ub960. it would be recommended that you can add one buffer here to secure the SI performance.

also, if you can use the UB960 internal sync. mode, you can make 1pcs UB960 generate the frame sync. and then send this frame sync. to GPIO pin, this signal can be used to driver the 2nd UB960's GPIO pin as frame sync.
