Hi team,

Could you have some suggestions for the EQ setting for the loss as below?

Also, may I know our EVM roughly loss for TX and RX?

    Hi,

    The loss on both sides of the evaluation board is ~ 3 dB.  This would make the total loss ~ 29dB.

    I would suggest to set the DS160PR410 for a modest equalization setting.  I recommend to use an equalization setting that is slightly lower than the minimum Pre-channel attenuation.  In this case it is ~ 9 dB.

    With 9dB attenuation in mind, I would recommend using EQ_index 3 or 4 from the datasheet to start out and see how the system reacts to the combination of PR410 and channel.
