Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83822I
Hi
DP83822IF VOD is 1.75V(typ) at 10BASE-Te.
If customer want to receive with 10BASE-T(2.5V,typ). Can the DP83822IF support this configuration?

Hello Muk,
Please refer to Table 74 in the DP83822 datasheet.

Vibhu-san,
I know, DP83822 can select Line Driver Swing. However, there is not setting for 10Base-T(Typ2.5V) .
Also, I found the following sessions regarding output swing. My understanding is DP83822 is for 10BASE-Te. DP83822 cannot select the voltage swing for 10BASE-T. Is it correct?
If you have recommended method, please let me know.
Hello Muk-san,
Sorry for the misinterpretation. You are correct the DP83822 is for 10BASE-Te.
Thanks,
Vibhu
Dear Vibhu-san
I'm Suzuki.
I want to ask a basic question.
Can DP83822I connect to the device that supports only "10BASE-T"?
Regards,
T.Suzuki
Hello Masa-san,
DP83822 only meets the standard for 10BASE-Te and not 10BASE-T. Correct.
"In 10BASE-Te operation, EEE operates with a reduced transmit amplitude that is fully interoperable with a 10BASE-T PHY."
The above statement means that the DP83822 can link and operate with a link partner that is 10BASE-T. The 10BASE-T link partner generally will have a receiver that accepts the voltage swing of 10BASE-Te.
Thanks,
Vibhu
Hi, Vibhu-san
I've been asked by Customer to know below comment is from IEEE standard or out thought.
Does IEEE standard define below ?
The above statement means that the DP83822 can link and operate with a link partner that is 10BASE-T. The 10BASE-T link partner generally will have a receiver that accepts the voltage swing of 10BASE-Te.
Hello Masa-san,
Please take a look at this http://www.ieee802.org/3/az/public/apr09/grimwood_01_0409.pdf
