Hi Malik- Thanks. Follow-up question though. In the Universal Serial Bus Type-c Cable and Connector Specification Rev 1.3, section 4.11.1 Termination Parameters, Table 4-20 gives basically 6 different CC pullup R values depending on the combination of advertised source current and the pull-up voltage. Are you saying that the IC is designed to present the "correct" Rp based on what these two values are?

Hi Chuck,
My apologies let me clarify my previous post. TUSB321 has a internal Rp current source that is used to report specific states on the CC line. For reference, you can see this illustrated in the functional block diagram in section 7.2 Functional Block Diagram. The correct current is sourced onto the CC line based on TUSB321 settings. Also there are only three Rp resistances based on the given internal pull-up voltage, this value is typically separate from Vcc.
