Please help to review the attached schematic.

The requirements are as below:

Simple USB-C port with USB 2.0 support

1) CC Pin Port Controller (with Pullups/down - no PD communication)

(A) DFP (Downstream Facing Port) only

(B) USB 2.0 Power Mode (max 500mA @ 5V)

2) Current limiter (Turn-off / current limit @ 500mA)

3) Overcurrent Flag/Pin

4) Enable Pin

5) ESD Protection (15kV Air/ 8 kV Cond.)

Hi Sanjay,

A few notes on your schematic and requirements:

- The lowest current limit offered by the TPS25810 is 1.7 A, as shown in the table below:

For the TPS25810 to output standard USB (500 mA for a Type C receptacle supporting only USB 2.0 and 900 mA for Type C receptacle supporting USB 3.1), CHG needs to be pulled low. It is an open drain.

- REF needs to be tied to REF_RTN, not GND.

Hi Emma,

Thank you for looking into this.

I have put a zero ohm resistor (R2) at CHG pin which is connected to GND.

REF is connected to Pin-9, which is REF_RTN. The schematic symbol shows it as GND.

Do you see any other issues with the schematic?
