Hi,

My customer asked for an IO  expander solution. their fpga only have 80 IOs, but need to extend to 220 IOs, furthermore, some output port need to support 100Khz output. please kindly give your suggestion. thanks.

    Hey Yue TANG,

    Our largest IO expander is TCA6424A however to use this solution to extend to 140 additional IOs you would need to use some I2C switches because we do not have enough address pins to have enough unique addresses. Otherwise you would need to use dynamic addressing.

    Our IO expanders do not have PWM support which you are asking for. The closest thing we have to that would be an LED driver like TCA6507 though it would not support the 100kHz speed you require.
