Part suggestion for USB Supply 5V +/-1%

Hello,

I was hoping you could help with a part suggestion. I am using a usb supply which can vary 4.75 to 5.5V, how can I get to 5V +/-1% regulation?

Dear Adam,

You can boost it from 4.75-5.5V to 6V, then drop it down to 5V by LDO.

Or you can also use a buck-boost converter, but it depends on your maximum output load current. But as far as I know, it is hard to get +/-1% precision since the Vref voltage itself will have +/-1% tolerance.
