SN75DP139: The IC SN75DP139 can be used in the J1900 baytrail platform?

Part Number: SN75DP139
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDP158,

Hi sir,

We want to use the re-driver IC SN75DP139RSBR between CPU to HDMI connector.

Our schematic design is Baytrail J1900 platform and the inerface is Digital Display Interfaces (DDI).

The application of  SN75DP139RSBR can match our design???

If it's not, please recommand the other re-driver IC.

Thanks.

  • Is the Digital Display Interface follow the DP or the DP++ standard?

If the interface is DP, then it requires a DP to HDMI active protocol converter. Unfortunately, we do not have a active protocol converter solution.

If the interface is DP++, then DP139 is the right solution. Please note the DP139 only supports HDMI1.4. If HDMI2.0 support is needed, then you have to use DP159.

    Thanks

    David

  • Hi sir,

The TDP158 device is an AC-Coupled HDMI signal to transition-minimized differential signal (TMDS) Redriver supporting digital video interface (DVI) 1.0 and high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) 1.4b and 2.0b output signals.

The input of TDP158 can be DP++ TX or AC coupled HDMI TX.

The input application of SN75DP139 is the same with the input of TDP158???

    Please help to confirm it.

    thanks

  • DP139 is a AC-coupled HDMI1.4 level shifter re-driver.

    DP158 is a AC-coupled HDMI2.0 level shifter re-driver.

    DP159 is a AC-coupled HDMI2.0 level shifter re-timer/re-driver.

Both DP139 and DP158 support AC-coupled HDMI, but at different data rate.

    Thanks

    David
