I have one more question about DP83822.

Let me summarize as below

(1) In short cable length condition (less than 20cm)

Can we say DP83822 could appropriately work in the range ?

I remember EtherNET PHY compliance test uses shorter cable than 20cm. So it should be OK, But I hope to have your expertise.

(2) Clock source for DP83822

As usage, customer will send a clock signal from MPU to 20Pin (MDC). In that case, CMOS level oscillator source could be acceptable without external crystal ?

XI pin needs to be connected to Clock signal, Can they connect XI pin with 20Pin (MDC) & XO pin is left floating ?

*Referring to the data sheet, (RESET timing diagram), MDC & XI clock cannot be same source.....

In the case of using external crystal for XI, XO pins.

Can we recommend attached crystal ?
