Hello,
My customer is planning to use the TPS65987D for a power bank application. This is a power only application (no display port, video, etc.) and thus I am wondering if all data lines for the Type-C connector need to be routed out or can they instead be left floating? We're trying to minimize the number of ESD diodes required and thus the latter is preferred.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Unused pins can be left floating. You can refer to TIDA-050012 and TIDA-050014 for Power Only designs using TPS65987D.
Thanks,
Eric
