Hello team,

My customer has a question about DS125DF410 high speed differential input .

How should we design DS125DF410 high speed differential input when some input channels is not used? Tied to GND, Short between Positive and Negative, or floating? Which do you recommend?

Hi Tamazaki-San,

DS125DF410 has signal detect for each high speed differential input. Once signal is detected then CDR starts lock process. We can leave inputs float and this will disable signal detect. Just to make sure noise cross coupling does not cause false signal detect, it would be better to AC couple and then use 49.9-ohm resistor on each input pin.
