Dear,

Here is one application need support USB3.1 Gen2(10Gbps), the length from Host to TUSB1002A is 7000mil, could you please help check if TUSB1002A can support the length or not? How long is recommended in the real application?

Hi John,

7000 mil is acceptable for TUSB1002A however the quality of the layout can cause a large variation in performance. Please see the app note below on tips for high speed layout guide lines. Please keep the number of vias in the data path to a minimum. The maximum length will always vary with the layout quality and application (external noise).
