DS90UB948-Q1: MODE_SEL0 strapping bug

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

We got 1.241V (VDD33) on MODE_SEL0 pin and do read out MODE_SEL register to 0xBC wich will give us MODE_SEL0 = 100: Dual OLDI output (#5 on MODE_SEL0).

However the picture is totally off color wise and to make it perfect I have to write register FPD_TX_MODE to 0xC0. -> over write strap and select dual OLDI output.

What voltage should we have on the strap to make it good at default?

  • Hello Charlotte,

With the pin strapping you are setting:

    - Dual SWAP output

    - MAPSEL = 1

But when you write 0xC0 to FPD_TX_MODE you are setting:

    - Dual output (not SWAP)

    - MAPSEL = 0

So please try changing the pin strapping to GND instead of 1.241V and see if that solves the problem.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
