DS90UB954-Q1: STP connection between DS90UB954 and DS90UB913A

Hi Champs,

My customer has designed DS90UB954 board to connect with DS90UB953-Q1 through STP cable.

Now due to system requirement change, DS90UB913A-Q1 would be used instead.

Here, customer asks in this specific case, if there is any hardware modification required especially in terms of STP connection.

I suppose no hardware change required related to STP connection when the system is changed from "953 to 954" to "913A to 954", but could you check it?

I do not believe there should be any hardware change for the 954 side but if you would like to send over the schematics we can also check them to confirm.

I'm asking my customer if they can provide schematic, so if I could get it I will send over email.

I have one more thing to confirm regarding to this case.

Originally MODE pin is set as CSI-mode. Without modifying resistance on MODE pin, is it OK to configure to Raw-mode though I2C after power-up?

Hello Nobuo,

It is fine to set the RX port MODE with either pin strap or via registers after boot up.
