DS110DF111: eye monitor

Part Number: DS110DF111
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

We have used DS110DF111 for retimer for our XFI to SFI application. I am working on to fine tune SI parameters wrt HS signals . While I was searching tool (GUI) to read the eye, I found that TI SigCon Architect software GUI can be used to read the eye via i2c. I understand usb2any adaptor should be fine enough for interface connection.

I have direct  i2c connection between processor and retimer. I can solder wires on these i2c pairs and connect to adaptor. There would be a small stub but still it should be ok right ?

Also using this tool I can change the SI parameters and verify the eye ? Am I right .

I have snlu126c pdf document that has details regarding the configuration related to this tool .Is there any  other documents that can be shared which would help or this should suffice my requirement

    •  Yes it should be ok, these are slow speed signals

    •  Yes, the combination of USB2ANY with TI SigCon Architect GUI enables you to read the retimer status values and configure its registers

    • Yes, this doc should have the retimer programming info you need
    • In addition, you may refer to the DS110DF111 EVM user's guide
