Hello, This is Sam from Ekozy Taipei, Taiwan,

We would like to use TPS65988 + Intel Thunderbolt Titan Ridge-DD for portable device, bus-powered application.

TR-DD can work with host TBT type-C or USB-C , the TPS65988 acts as a TBT PD sink,

When the host or docking USB-C port support BC1.2 SDP/CDP , my question is that TPS65988 can be a BC1.2 SNK (sink) to sink power 5v/1.5A from host/docking to power our PCBA.

Yes, our PCBA will control power consumption within 7.5Watt(5v/1.5A).

I saw the data sheet (as below) , to set the "configulation 2" looks like to meet our requirement.

Hi Sam,

The TPS65988 does support BC1.2 detection and advertisement. This can be enabled in the Port Control Register (0x29).

Let me check detailed and make sure I'm correct.

We are trying to use TPS65988 to be a BC1.2 Sink to get 5v/1.5A in from Host or Docking if they support BC1.2 SDP/CDP/DCP.

Our device is bus-powered would like to use TPS65988 to sink power from host or docking, so would like to make sure TPS65988 could meet the requirement ~

The TPS65988 is able to be a BC1.2 sink so it should be able to meet your design requirement.
