Hi team,

I have a question about the analysis of 'i2c communication' between DS90UB927 and DS90UB928.

1. I want to monitor only 'i2c' communication in the system of 'Figure 1'.

2. Is it possible to connect 'c' between 'a' and 'b'?

    Hello,

    Yes generally speaking this configuration is possible but you must take extra care to ensure that the input jitter to the second 927 OLDI interface meets the datasheet requirements. With these chains of multiple back to back SERDES it is possible for jitter (especially low frequency) to accumulate through the stages. 

    Also you will have to program the I2C pass through functionality on the middle units to allow passing through commands all the way to the display.
