LMH1297: IBIS Verified Sample

Hi Team,

My customer got the LMH1297 ISIB model, but the simulated result shows the output voltage is only 300mVpp at 12Gbps, could you please send the verified sample to me through email? Because I don't have the software on my computer and cannot check by my own.

Hi Hao,

Please refer to the IBIS-AMI pdf user guide. There is a parameter for controlling VOD or output voltage. Once the user runs the simulation, you can go into retimer IBIS file and change VOD or other settings.

Hi Nasser，

I find that the output amplitude is also related to the parameter "TX_mode".For FR4 mode(TX_mode=0), the output amplitude is about 150mV; For cable mode(TX_mode), the output amplitude is about 400mV. Is this consistent with reality?

1). Please use Retimer configuration: FR4 input and FR4 output schematic. In this schematic, you can double click on retimer AMI and you should be able to see VOD0 that sets different VOD levels for FR4 output. Please note eye diagrams in the user guide where it shows about 700 to 800mV amplitude. In reality it would be about 350 to 500mV using PRBS pattern.

2). For cable driver output, in reality it would be about 750mV to 830mV(single ended output level).
