Hi team,

Could you advise how much is the WAKE pin internal resistance?

I would not use WAKE function, and would like to pull this pin to GND.

Could you give me the recommended pull down resistor value?

    This WAKE circuit is similar to the WAKE circuit on TCAN1043-Q1 in that if it not being used, it can be shorted to battery or GND directly with no resistor. Once the device detects the WAKE pin state, internal pull-down/pull-up circuits are activated to minimize the amount of current used. If the WAKE pin is tied directly to VBAT, there is slightly less (~1-3uA) current consumption than if it is tied to GND.

    If you don't use WAKE function and connect the pin to BATT, should I use current limiting resistor

    to protect this pin from negative pulse on BATT to exceed absolute max rating of 3mA?

  • Hello Tsuji-san,

    Yes, you should not exceed the 3-mA absolute maximum limit.  If WAKE could be exposed to a negative voltage, then a current limiting resistance should be used.
