Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1

hello,team

may I ask a question

IN our system there  are two  ECU and  only  one tft,  each ECU has one  processor.

we need to use this only  one   TFT to display  the image form  the two ecu ,

the left side of the tft to display content from  ecu1,the right side of the tft   to display the content from  ecu2

can we use like below blcok?

could  you give me some advice when we use like this

Dose UB941 need  synchronized  image output  from different ECU ?

how can we synchronize the image from the two ECU?

best regards

juan

  • Hi,

In theory it can work but as you mentioned as well, the dual DSI ports need be aligned. For UB941as, the requests (especially on the skew between dual DSI ports) for dual DSI port aggregation are listed in ub941as d/s as below:

    8.4.3.1 Dual DSI Operation Requirements
The Dual-DSI input mode has the following requirements for proper operation:
    • The DSI inputs must send identical framed video
    • Skew between DSI ports must be less than two pixel clock periods (single DSI pixel clock frequency)
    • The FPD-Link III Transmitter has to operate in Dual FPD-Link III mode
    • DSI inputs must operate in Continuous DSI Clock mode

The skew controlling should be designed inside the two ECUs. generally this application only is used in the one SOC chip with dual DSI output port which can control the DSI skew more easily.

    best rgds,

    Steven
