TUSB322I: Can TUSB322I can run in Dock-ACA mode ?

Part Number: TUSB322I
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987D

I am looking for USB-C controller which support for the Dock-ACA mode.

Currently our product using micro USB for connect tablet permanently , provide USB hub and charging function.

Now the product needs to upgrade to USB-C to support latest tablet with same function.

Can TUSB322I can run in Dock-ACA mode ?Or if you have any other solutions, please let me know.

  • Hi Jace,

TUSB322I does not have a specific ACA-Dock mode but can be used for this application with limitations. TUSB322I is a CC controller and can only provide up to 15W of charging and restrict power and data from flowing in opposite directions. If more charging power is desired or If data and power should ever flow in opposite directions then a PD controller should also be used. You may consider also looking at TPS65987D which is a USB-C PD controller that may be better suited for this application.
