DS80PCI402: DS80PCI402-EEPROM content detailed description for Slave mode operation setup

I am trying to write the EEPROM content of the DS80PCI402 chip for Master mode. In the datasheet(http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds80pci402.pdf). Tables 7 and 8 provides only the content and the short form of the data. For the Slave mode (table 9) is describing the data in detail. Similarly, I want the details for the Master mode. I am trying to configure the equalization, VOD and Demphasis settings in particular. May I know the source of the description and the possible values apart from the default values that can be set?

The easiest way to generate the EEPROM file is to use the GUI tool. There is also an App Note link below as well

Thank you for the suggestion. I am checking into that option. But since I don't have any experience in that tool before, it might take some time to use it properly. Also, I would prefer the description of the Master mode and slave mode as it is easier and faster for my application.

I don't have the dongle that is used in the setup to do this as you suggested. As I am trying to solve this by just writing into the EEPROM, it would be great if I can get the details of the Master mode Register map.

Hi,

The document at www.ti.com/.../snla228.pdf

is the most detailed piece of information about the EEPROM contents for a DS80PCI402 device. Page 12 section 6 has an example for a single device. I recommend using the GUI to select the desired DS80PCI402 settings you want. The GUI can then automatically generate the EEPROM file as shown in the application note. This is the best way to program the EEPROM since all the bits are compressed, manually programming the EEPROM is tedious and error prone.
