DS90UB947-Q1: some questions about datasheet

Part Number: DS90UB947-Q1

Hi team,

I have some questions about 947.

  1. In datasheet, the description of the power-up sequence is not consistent with the figure. The description said “Active PDB” first and then “Apply OpenLDI input”, but the figure below shows a reverse sequence. So which one should I active first, PDB or OLDI?
  2. Bit IE_IND_ACC in 0xC6 register is only related to SER and is independent on DES, right? When this bit is set to 1, does that mean 947 INTB pin will pull low after a success indirect register access?
  3. If bit IE_RXDET_INT in 0Xc6 is enabled, SOC will receive interrupt signal when a DES is detected, right? After receiving the interrupt signal, how much delay is required for the next I2C write/read operation to remote DES?

Thank you very much for your help.

BR,

Arie

  • Hello Arie,

    1. Technically either option is acceptable as long as the programming steps for resetting the OLDI PLL are applied after the power up sequence.

    2. Yes, correct

    3. Yes, correct. I would recommend checking LOCK status (0x5A[6]) before issuing any commands for the bidirectional control channel

    Best Regards,

    Casey
