DS90UB960-Q1: Can DS90UB960-Q1 detect malfunction camera than auto send test pattern?

Hi Team,

My customer want to know if DS90UB960-Q1 can support this function:

We use DS90UB960-Q1 for four camera, if one camera is broken or not connect.

Can DS90UB960-Q1 detect malfunction camera than auto send test pattern?

Which means the other three camera would not affected by this malfunction camera.

And SoC can still use CSI Virtual Channel to read four camera data from DS90UB960-Q1, and one path is test pattern data.

    Hi Daniel,

    The 960 will not be able to auto send test pattern. But you can read the CSI registers on the 953 side and if the CSI registers (reg 0x61-0x63) show no incoming CSI data, you can program the 953 to output the test pattern.

    if the remote camera module(953 is in this module) is not connected,so we can't read 953 registers and let it output test pattern.

    so we want to know if 960 can detect the remote camera module is connected or not

    if not connected,hope 960 to output test pattern for that RX PORT to replace the real camera data.

    Hi Daniel,

    The 960 has the ability to detect if the camera module is connected or not. You can set it on one of the GPIOs (via registers 0x0F and 0x10 - 0x18) to inform the processor if a camera module is disconnected.

    But the 960 will not be able to auto send patterns.
