Hi all,
My customer want to us DS80PCI402 as data/clock buffer for PCIE application. Can they use PCI402 as clock buffer directly with 100Mhz frequency? Or they just need to by passs clock signal? Thanks.

Hi Gary,
I would not recommend using the DS80PCI402 as a PCIe clock buffer. It was only designed to buffer and equalize the datapath signals. The PCIe clock uses a different set of electrical specifications. The DC components of the clock specification do not align with the DS80PCI402 output characteristics.
