DS90C031: DS90C031 and SN65LVDT14 Compatibility

Hello,

I am trying to communicate between two boards. One is using the DS90C031 and the other is using the SN65LVDT14. The RX device burnt up (actual burn mark) and failed when we tested these. I know online, it says that the DS90C032 is the companion receiver, but I wanted to see if there is any reason the DS90C031 and SN65LVDT14 wouldn't be able to work.
