ONET1151P: 10.3125-Gbps SFP+ LR design connect to SGMII

Hi Sir

I have a question about the ONET1151L (DIN & - )& ONET1151P (DOUT+ & -),

they could directly connect to SGMII or need a PHY IC to conversion to SGMII?

Because I want to use a CPU (QCA9563) connect Optical, as a result,

I think about Optical design can reference ONET-10G-EVM design but the problem is how to connect SGMII,

could you help me to solve this problem?

Hi Lawrence,

ONET1151P and ONET1151L are used in optical modules for PHY block of the SGMII interface. Normally 10G serial differential pairs of these devices are connected to a MAC layer - within FPGA or ASIC - that does serial differential conversion to SGMII clock and data(RX7:0 and TX7:0) lanes. Therefor you need FPGA or an ASIC to convert to SGMII interface. Please refer to 802.3Z specifications.
