TPS65987D: Questions for TPS65987D Configuration 1 VBUS Output Current Limit

Hi Experts,

Our customer is using TPS65987D to achieve a basic 5V VBUS output type-c DFP application by using internal configuration 1. But they want to achieve 2A maximum current limit function. Can we to support this function? How to set the device to support it?

Hi Jacky Wang,

There is not way to set TPS65987D for 5V, 2A PDO in default configuration 1.

Thanks for the reply. We have another question about the configuration 1, we have followed the datasheet settings for this mode, SPI_MISO is pull down to GND, ADCIN1=0.14V. But after the powering up, there is no 5V output from our device, do you know what's problem?

BTW: we used the I2C3 port to control TUSB564 MUX, do we need to write the driver to this device? How can we control them? We have sent customer's schematic in email to you before.

Hi Jacky,

No power switch is enabled and the device does not start-up until VIN_3V3 is present in BP_NoResponse configuration. Could you check whether your design has met this requirement?
