DS90UB935-Q1: PDB Capacitor

Part Number: DS90UB935-Q1

Hi Team,

I had a quick question about the PDB capacitor value that should be used on the 935. In section 9.2 of the datasheet it states that a >1uF capacitor needs to be used:

But in the typical application it shows that this needs to be >10uF:

As the datasheet mentioned, PDB should be brought up after 1.8V is stable and the time should be at least 0ms delay.

PDB is enable at 0.65xVdd so we want 1Tau or RC time constant to be greater than the rise time for the VDD18 (5ms minimum)

When 1uF capacitor and 10KOhm resistor are used, the time delay will be around 10ms, so would a 1uF capacitor be okay?

If possible we'd like to use a 0402 cap and if we have to upgrade to 10uF this will force a layout change for the larger package size.

Thanks,

David
