Hi Experts,

Could you please let me know about Vol (max) when Io is smaller 1mA?

According to the datasheet, Vol (max) is 0.2*VIO when Io=2mA.
If VIO = 3.3V, Vol is 0.66V (max).

I plan to connect ti to AWR1843 which Vil = 0.62V at 3.3V.

If Io=2mA, TCAN1048V-Q1 might not drive AWR1843 Vil LOW.

I believe that if Io is smaller than 1mA, Vol(max) should be close to 0.1 * VIO which sufficiently drive AWR1843 Vil LOW.

Sugawara-san,

I agree with you that if the Io is smaller than 1mA, Vol will be low enough to drive the AWR1843 to a logic low level. Even if Io is at 2mA, 0.66V is the maximum value it will be, so the typical value will be closer to GND.

Hi Eric,

Do we have any data if Io is smaller than 2mA?
Any specific point of measurement data is also acceptable.
For example, Vol value at Io is 1mA.

If we have, it would be greatly helpful to support.

Sugawara-san,

With Io = 1mA, the RXD output measures ~0.37V on one unit, and 0.41V on another. At the standard level without sourcing any current from the RXD pin, I measured 0.46V on one unit, and 0.52V on another.

In either case, the low level will meet the VIL threshold of the AWR1843.
