Hello Digesh,
Do you mean max data rate = 2.5Gbps total or per lane? Also how many CSI-2 ports? What is the intended actual CSI-2 bandwidth required?
Best Regards,
Casey
Hi Casey,
Please find below inputs:
The MIPI CSI2 solution implements CSI2 v1.3 and D-PHY v1.2 specification.
Max. Data Rate = 2.5Gbps per lane
Number of CSI ports = 6 ports, each CSI port with 4 lanes
Intended bandwidth = 6144 x 6144 with 8 FPS for RGB565 and 6144x6144 with 16 FPS for RAW8, RAW10, RAW12 formats
Regards,
Digesh
Hello Digesh,
I'm attaching a calculator tool to help you with determining required CSI-2 bandwidths. For 6144x6144 @ 8 Hz, RGB565, total data rate should be ~6Gbps which is suitable for our DS90UB954-Q1 or DS90UB960-Q1 devices. However we do not have an available serailzer to carry this much raw CSI-2 bandwidth. This 6Gbps available bandwidth on our hub devices is used to aggregate multiple imager's data into one CSI-2 output.
This resolution with 16Hz, RAW12 would likely be above 6.4Gbps. You can use the calculator tool to check bandwidths and compare against available serializers.

Hi Casey,
Do help to share datasheet and more details on part # DS90UB972 ?
Thanks
Hello,
This is not a public ally released device. If you would like information on NDA TI components please contact your local TI sales representative.
Thanks,
Casey
Hi Casey,
Would you mind sharing if there is any other TI part which supports greater than 6 Gbps payload rate where i can keep the resolution to 6144x6144 ?
Can i use DS90UB964-Q1, where i keep resolution to 6144x6144 and do data type RGB888, RAW12 at 5 Hz and/or 10 Hz respectively.
or can the above spec. be achieved using either of DS90UB954 or DS90UB960 only.
Thanks
Our highest speed publicly released serializer device is DS90UB953-Q1 which can support up to 3.3Gbps CSI-2 bandwidth. For NDA roadmap device discussions you will need to contact your local TI sales rep.
You should be able to use the calculator tool I provided to check these different configurations easily against the serializer available bandwidth.
Best Regards,
Casey
