HD3SS3220: Is it possible to control MUX by I2C?

Hello,

I am designing an embedded system that can work as a standalone device or 2 devices connected by USB.

HD3SS3220 came to my attention for power DRP feature and I thought I could utilize the MUX  for other use.

From the information in the datasheet, it seems that the HD3SS3220 doesn't allow manual control of the MUX.

I'm trying to Split the path of the USB DATA with the HD2SS3220 MUX like below, but I'm not sure if this is possible.

Is it possible to take full control of the MUX by I2C with HD3SS3220?

If not, is there a good/cheaper alternative of HD3SS3220 that can be used as USB C DRP port controller with CC pin detection?

I will also need to find a good MUX for USB HS use.
