TCAN4550: IS there a 3V option on the bus side?

Part Number: TCAN4550

Hi - I want to add a CAN interface to a MSP430 , but also want to have a 3V3 bus voltage as well as Io voltage- is there anythign available?

  • Hello,

By 3.3-V bus voltage, do you mean this is the pull-up voltage for CANH?  If so, may I ask why would you want this?  There are 3.3-V powered discrete transceivers available, but these are typically used in applications where a 5-V supply is not available (while the lower-voltage transceivers maintain compatibility with 5-V devices, they often cannot meet ISO 11898-2 physical layer requirements across all operating conditions).  Since the TCAN4550 integrates a 5-V LDO, though, rail availability wouldn't be a concern.

    Regards,
