SN65HVD485E: Decoding Part Markings

Hello, I am helping my customer with an issue and need to know/decode what the second and third rows of letters on this part indicate (the internal link I had for finding this information in the past is no longer valid.) I know we can't publish this information on a public link so please contact me by phone or email to resolve.

Thank you, Kurt

  • Hi Kurt,

The three characters on the second line are (in order) the last digit of the year of assembly, the month of assembly (with 1 = January, 2 = February, ..., A = October, B = November, etc.), and the assembly site (of which this device has several).  The four-digit code that comprises the third line of the marking is a unique lot trace code so that we can better trace the assembly lot.  If you need help digging up info on a specific marking just let me know, either here via e2e or via email.
