TUSB3410: Installing driver on Windows 10

Part Number: TUSB3410

Hello,

I download sllc428b (tusb3410_driver_v6.7.4.0_setup) and get it installed on my PC which is WINDOWS 10 Pro, 64bits.

I installed in Admin mode.

There is no VCP created and the communication program I'm using (Aurora Installer) says the driver is not installed and there is no port available.

Note: I was using the TUSB3410 with PC working Windows XP qnd Windows Seven without issues. I had to switch to W10 as Windows updates for Seven stopped recently.

Could you help?

  • Hi Loic,

Please verify that your the TUSB3410 driver is installed in your main drive at a location similar to the below. I recommend trying to force load the TUSB3410 driver through the device manager. What do you seeing in the device manager specifically?

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TUSB3410 Driver

  • Hi Malik,

I did as per your explanations, getting the driver installed in the specified location.

The setup run OK, without error message.

Then, running my Aurora software (communication with USB to RS485 stick, like www.ebay.fr/.../153422409917 , I'm still having message "USB driver not installed on this computer". I click OK then a second message "No port available".

The Device Manager show "Ports COM and LTP" "USB-SERIAL CH 340 (COM 7).

Driver details Don't show driver from wch.cn, dated 01/30/19, version 3.5.2019.1. I tried to force with just installed TUSB3410 but Windows says the appropriate driver is already installed.

By chance, I'm still having an old computer with Windows seven. I proceeded the same in regard to driver installation and all is working fine with a VCP installed. My aurora SW works as per expectations.

I have screenshots available, is it possible to attach to the post? I did not find how to.

Please also note that I'm using the same USB to RS485 stick on a WIN 10 computer for communication with other RS485 units and it works (No VCP needed).

    Any additional idea?

    Thanks, Loic
