Dear Support team;

I'd like to operate in the External Oscillator Mode.

Do I have to define output to GPIO2 and input to GPIO3 at address 0x0E?

Or, are input and output automatically set by mode definition?

Hello Masaaki,

The GPO2 behavior is set automatically by the MODE strapping. Also 913A does not have any GPIO inputs, only GPOs.

I have more questions.

When we use registers (0x03[1]=1 and ox35[1:0]=10) to set the External oscillator Mode, does GPO3 become to input automatically?

In this case, can we change the 0x0E register values or Is writing prohibited in this register?

Hello Masaaki,

It is recommended to leave register 0x0E at its default value which is input. Then you can change the 0x03 and 0x35 registers to override the MODE strapping as desired.
