recommend pair of LVDS driver & receiver for 3-5V power & logic

Hello TI-Community,

i am searching for a LVDS Driver & Receiver Pair that is 3V - 5V power and logic (TTL) compatible.

is there any device that fulfills this?
or must i decide if i want 3V or 5V Logic and power levels?

my target application is

  • single-way (Master to slave only)
  • 2-wire SPI (clock + data)
  • >10..30 Meter twisted pair cable
  • sometimes i have 3.3V and sometimes 5V logic
  • driver: 3.3V..5V power and TTL logic output
  • receiver: 3.3V..5V power and TTL logic output
  • in some configurations this means level shifting is achieved

i have had a look at

but did not find any matching part..

thanks for any hints or information how to find this :-)

    Hi Stefan,

    I believe the only device we have that supports both 3.3V and 5V logic/power is the DS90LV019 driver/receiver. 

    We also have a TI design for SPI over LVDS here: http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-060017 though it uses different LVDS drivers/receivers.

    thanks for your answer! the DS90LV019 looks promising! i know the reference design! thanks for mentioning it!

    so if the requirement for 3&5V supply will resist
    i will try the DS90LV019 and make a evaluation with it!

    if i can reduce the requirement to 5V only -
    do you have a preferred LVDS transceiver or pair for the

    • low-speed (Data Transfer Rate: max 35 MHz) and
    • long distance (>10..30 Meter)

    requirement?
    or better: what parameter is the key to look for with this?
