DP83TC811R-Q1: RGMII Data Transmit ERROR

Hi,

We want to use 2 DP83TC811R-Q1 chips to send and receive RGMII data. We have configured one of them as master and one of them as slave. We are also setting the 0x0017 register accordingly so that RGMII mode is selected with internal delay disabled (Register settings 0x4245). We are receiving the RGMII data correctly but with RX error asserted continuously. We are receiving ESD_ERR, even though we are making sure Tx_err is never made high during transmission. Are there any settings which we have missed ??

Do you have a register dump for these PHYs as well as a schematic for the connection?

We have not used any strapping options other than PHY address, if that is the reason you are asking schematic. By register dump, I think you mean all the registers we are programming(?!). We are programming the following registers : Register 0x0017 with data 0x4245, Register 0x0834 with data 0x8001/0xC001(Master or slave).

Thank you for the information. By register dump, I would like to see the registers you are programming in addition to the current state of the registers that you have not written to as well. For example registers 0x0 to 0x1f
