TPS65988: Can i use standard FTDI USB to SPI converter for using TI tool of configuration of this chip?

Hi,

Can i use this FTDI USB to SPI converter (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2264) for path and configuration of TPS65988 by using TI utility (TPS659xxApplicationCustomizationTool).

Hi,

This FTDI converter will not work with TPS659xxApplicationCustomization Tool.

Instead, you can use Total Phase Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter.

Its expensive , is there any other alternative ?
Also Total Phase Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter will be used for configuration and patching both?

Sorry, we do not have any other alternative option. Yes, Total Phase Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter can be used for patch bundle [configuration and patching] download to external SPI flash and I2C debugging.
