HD3SS215: HD3SS215IRTQR: We have some applicated questions.

Hi TI expert,

Our current application requirements are 2:1HDMI mode (HD3SS215IRTQR), sink end docking SOC; The source side is the HDMI CONN.

Now we have some questions:
1. How to switch between 1:2 and 2:1?
2. What is the interaction flow of source side HPD pin?
3. Since the sink terminal is connected to SOC, does 5V detect need to be connected to the source terminal?
4. Since HDMI IN at SOC terminal is a port,  So we need DX_SEL pin of HD3SS215  can be dynamically switched to HDMI IN port according to the actual scene. Can we?

    1. How to switch between 1:2 and 2:1?

    Please see the application schematic on the first page of the datasheet. If you place two sources on the HD3SS215 A/B side and the sink on the C side, then it is 2:1 since the data goes from either source to the sink. If you place two sinks on the HD3SS215 A/B side and the source on the C side, then it is 1: 2 since you have data going from one source to either sink.


    2. What is the interaction flow of source side HPD pin?

    HPD goes from the sink to the source indicating a sink has been connected when the sink drives the HPD high.


    3. Since the sink terminal is connected to SOC, does 5V detect need to be connected to the source terminal?

    This depends on how to want to use 5V


    4. Since HDMI IN at SOC terminal is a port,  So we need DX_SEL pin of HD3SS215  can be dynamically switched to HDMI IN port according to the actual scene. Can we?
