I need a 4 port hub with 1.5A charging downstream ports. I've located the TUSB2046B and TPS2547. Once I noticed that the logic for the TUSB2046B PWRON is inverted from the TPS2547 EN, I became concerned if these are a good fit for each other. Is there a better combination of devices for my application? Or, do I just need to simply add an inverter between the two devices?

Hi Tony,

I believe you will want to use TUSB4041I for this application. This device can take advantage of the USB BC1.2 charging and the polarity if the PWRCTL pins can be changed via PWRCTL_POL.

Thanks for the suggestion on the hub IC.

What would you recommend for an adjustable current limit switch to go with it? There are so many to pick from...

Hi Tony,

I am not an expert for selecting the switch that would best suit your expected load however is a good part to start with TPS22914. TUSB4041I does not require a specific power switch.
