Hi,

Regarding DS90UB960 pattern generator, please let me know below

1) Can inbuilt pattern generator in DS90U960 part support 6144x6144 resolution for RGB888?

2) Can inbuilt pattern generator in DS90U960 part support RAW8, RAW10, RAW12 and RGB565 data formats?

3) Can inbuilt pattern generator in DS90U960 part supports 2.5 Gbps bandwidth per lane?

4) Does DS90U960 part support multiple VC?

5) Can we provide custom pattern image to DS90U960 De-Serializer for transmission to CSI Rx?

    Hello Sathyakam,

    Thanks for reaching out. Here are answers for your questions:

    1. This depends on the frame rate. 6144x6144 is essentially almost 38MP! So it could be supported but at very low frame rate ~5-6Hz as the data rate needs to be < 6.4Gbps

    2. Yes, all these are supported by programming the CSI-2 data type for the pattern generator

    3. No, 1.6Gbps/lane is the maximum for 960

    4. Yes, up to 4 VC-IDs 

    5. The colors are programmable such that you can program the hex values for each byte of the pattern output blocks. See PGEN_COLORx registers in the datasheet. But these are fixed bars, not pixel level manipulation of the pattern.
