DS250DF230: input to output latency

Guru 29720 points

Part Number: DS250DF230

Hi Team,

The datasheet shows tD = 4.5UI + 175ps (typ) under "No Crosspoint; CDR enabled and locked" condition.
Is there any data of max value for tD?
Is it possible case more than twice (triple ..etc.) as long of typical value?

It is just for reference and isn't required guaranteed.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hi Yaita-San,

This parameter has not been characterized. Under condition you noted delay if 4.5UI + 175ps. This is a typical value. For max i would say it would be a good idea to use 4.5UI + 175ps + 175ps*0.30 = 4.5UI + 228ps. This additional 30% accounts for part to part variation, across temperature, and supply.

  • Hi Nasser-san,

Thank you for your kind support. I understand.
I would like to ask one more.
There is also tD_V (variation of input-to-output latency: ±50ps typ) in datasheet.

    1) I believe tD_V is variation for specific one typical sample at Ta=25℃. Is my understanding correct?

    2) Could you let me know max value of tD_V just for reference?
        It isn't required guaranteed too.

    Best Regards,
    Yaita

  • Hi Yaita-San,

1). Your understanding is correct. For typical values normally this is done with one or several parts but at typical condition(25degC and nominal supply).

2). For part to part and across temperature variation i would add +/-30%.
